A Note from Seaworthy’s Captain
I love a good cocktail, but of course I’m not the only one. Cultures around the world and throughout the ages have distilled an almost infinite variety of mesmerizing spirits and for good reason. A proffered drink is a timeless way to show gratitude to a guest and to demonstrate that they have your presence and attention. In our modern world this is more valuable than ever. And when consumed in moderation an alcoholic beverage can lead to a subtle transformation of consciousness that allows for a deeper connection with others - a ceremony of spirits so to speak.
In an extension of this custom artisans have created exquisite artifacts to elevate the experience of sharing a spirit even further. Beautiful vessels have been designed and crafted to engage the senses of vision and touch. Furniture and environments were created to house and protect these delicate objects.
As the owner and designer for Seaworthy I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with talented glass artists, ceramic artists, woodworkers, fabricators and others to continue in this tradition. When I talk about the “We” at Seaworthy these are the valued partners to whom I’m referring.
So in that spirit, welcome aboard. Thanks for coming. Can I get you a drink?
Dominick Montalbano, Captain of Seaworthy
