“A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory.”
– Albert Einstein
The owners of a classic sailboat wanted a comprehensive selection of easily accessible “base spirits” to make a wide variety of cocktails.
A tall, slim bottle was selected to allow for the largest number of spirits in the limited space. The simplicity of the bottle highlights the beautiful colors of the spirits themselves.
A custom teak cabinet was designed so that the every detail matched the existing interior. Test-fit templates were used so that everything fit the irregular curves and lines of the hand-built boat perfectly.
The owners also wanted traditional glassware to serve their cocktails. Soft foam was precisely cut by laser to gently but firmly hold glassware and bar tools in even the roughest seas.
The functional requirements were achieved in a way that created a beautiful display. Lighting automatically turns on when the door is opened to reveal arrangement of glass and spirits.
