What makes the Seaworthy Jigger so special? This might take a while.
Hand-Blown & Hand-Ground Gray Glass: Unlike most jiggers which are typically made from metal, our jigger is hand-blown in gorgeous gray glass for us by our partner in Tacoma, WA. Then the rim and bottom of each jigger is hand-ground and polished to a perfectly flat and glossy surface. It is truly gorgeous.
Legibility: As frustrating as it is to read measurements on most other jiggers, the measurements on our jigger are extremely easy to read.
The Cylinder: The cylindrical form makes it easy to estimate fractional measurements - meaning you don’t need to have a line for ¾ since it is halfway between ½ and 1. This reduces visual clutter. The cylindrical form also makes for a better pour. Have you ever noticed how fast spirits come out of a cone-shaped or bell-shaped jigger which can lead to missing the shaker or mixing glass? That doesn’t happen with a cylindrical jigger.
Accuracy: Since our jiggers are hand-blown the walls and bases have slightly different thicknesses. So, we calibrate each jigger individually so that the measurements are very accurate.
Optional Quotes: Since we use a UV laser to etch the measurements in our jigger we realized we could etch whatever we wanted. You have an option of a spirit-related quote from Albert Einstein or Bernard Motessier, or no quote at all.
Measurements: are in both Imperial (½ oz; 1 oz; 1 ½ oz and 2oz.) and Metric (15ml; 30ml; 45ml and 60ml). Also, the top measure is set down from the lip so that you don’t have to be so careful about spilling.
Shipping Crate: Your Seaworthy Jigger comes in a custom-fitted, baltic birch gift box that we make in our shop. The sliding lid is sealed shut with a lovely Monte Carlo Collection postage stamp.
