What Makes our Julep Strainer so Special? With its unique S-shape it is easier to hold in a mixing glass when pouring than typical julep strainers. Also, it won’t fall into the glass like typical julep strainers. Our Julep Strainer was designed to fit perfectly into the Seaworthy Mixing Glass but will work with other mixing glasses as well. The Monte Carlo Julep Strainer has the Northstar slot design which provides a fast flow while holding ice cubes in the glass.
Stainless Steel: The body of your strainer is made from 14 gauge 304 Stainless Steel which is thicker than almost all bar tools on the market. The edges of the metal parts are hand-ground so that it feels great in your hand. In the Monte Carlo Collection the steel is hand-polished to a mirror finish.
Katalox Handle: Our Julep Strainer uses our distinctive handle. It is fastened to the tang with hidden dowels so that the only thing visible is the Seaworthy Medallion. The handles in the Monte Carlo Collection are made from Katalox (also known as Mexican Royal Ebony) one of the hardest woods on the planet. Wood varies in grain and color from piece to piece so your product may look different from the photo.
Shipping Crate: Your Julep Strainer comes in a custom-fitted, baltic birch gift box that we make in our shop. The sliding lid is sealed shut with a lovely Monte Carlo Collection postage stamp.
