What Makes our Bar Knife so Special? Our Bar Knife has the perfect length blade (4”) for slicing citrus and carving garnishes. The length sits between a paring knife and a petty knife.
AEB-L Stainless Steel: The blade is hand-ground from a AEB-L Stainless Steel which holds an edge better than standard stainless steel and won’t corrode from citrus juices that way carbon steel would. Also, we made the blade thin enough that it flexes like a filet knife when removing pith from a garnish.
Katalox Handle: The handles in the Monte Carlo Collection are made from Katalox (also known as Mexican Royal Ebony) one of the hardest woods on the planet and then treated with an oil/wax finish. The wood scales are bolted to the metal tang. An inlaid brass Seaworthy Medallion is the finishing touch.
Wood Appearance Variation: Keep in mind that real wood varies in grain and color from piece to piece so your product may look slightly different from the photo.
Shipping Crate: Your Bar Knife comes in a custom-fitted, baltic birch gift box that we make in our shop. The sliding lid is sealed shut with a lovely Monte Carlo Collection postage stamp.
